Annie Ryan
Artistic Director
Annie Ryan is a director, actor and teacher based in Dublin. Originally from Chicago, Annie trained in acting at the Piven Theatre Workshop and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She was part of New Crime Productions in Chicago in the early '90s, where she was introduced to the style of Commedia dell'Arte that has become the trademark of The Corn Exchange. Productions include
Streetcar, Big Bad Woolf, Baby Jane, The Seagull, Car Show (Judges Award Irish Theatre Awards 1998),
Foley by Michael West,
Lolita, Mud by María Irene Fornés (Best Production Irish Theatre Awards 2003),
Dublin By Lamplight (Best Ensemble, The Stage, Edinburgh) and
Everyday, both by Michael West in collaboration with the company. Outside of The Corn Exchange, Annie directed
Rudolf The Red for the Ark,
Come And Go for the Beckett Festival at the Gate and the Barbican. Her most recent production was
Fool For Love by Sam Shepard for the Abbey Theatre. She is a board member of the Dublin Fringe Festival. This summer Annie participated as Acting Mentor in Mira Nair's Maisha Film Lab 2008 in Kampala, Uganda.
Sarah Durcan

Sarah holds a BA in Communication Studies from DCU and an MA in Cultural Policy and Arts Management from UCD. She has worked in tourism and heritage management, and also in entertainment and PR. Sarah joined The Corn Exchange Theatre Company in 2002. As producer and international promoter she produced
Dublin by Lamplight, Everyday in the Dublin Theatre Festival 2006, and the Australian and UK tour of
Dublin by Lamplight. She is a board member of
GAZE Film Festival.
Áine Beamish
Administrator
Áine has studied in Ireland and the U.K. and holds a B.A. in Digital Media and an MA in Cultural Policy and Arts Management from University College Dublin. She has worked in stage management and production co-ordination with theatre companies throughout Ireland, including Gate Theatre Dublin, Project Arts Centre, Andrews Lane, Everyman Palace, the Helix, Dublin Theatre Festival, Festival of World Cultures, Dublin Fringe Festival and St. Patrick’s Festival. Áine is also Producer with
Randolf SD|The Company who are being hosted by The Corn Exchange in 2009.
