MUD is a concentrated blast of savage humour and unashamed beauty. Mae struggles to escape the baseness and poverty of her life as Lloyd and Henry fight for her love in a tug of war that keeps dragging her back down in the muck. Fornés' is a world of heartbreak - intense and lyrical.

María Irene Fornés is one of the icons the Off-off-Broadway movement. Born in Cuba, she moved to New York at the age of 15. While studying painting in Paris in the fifties, a production of Beckett's Waiting for Godot inspired her to take up writing, and since then has written over 40 plays, won numerous awards, including 9 Obies - and the nickname 'Mother Avant Garde'.

Starring Simone Kirby, Liam Carney and David Pearse

Set Design: Kris Stone
Lighting Design: Jane Cox
Costume Design: Marie Tierney
Sound Design: Vincent Doherty

Nominated for Best Director & Best Actress Irish Times/ESB Theatre Awards 2003

FOLEY is a hilarious, moving exploration of what it is that your family passes onto you.

It's taken Foley his whole life to realise that your inheritance is not the things that come down to you, it's the things you can't get rid of.

Foley is the last of his family, among the last Protestants in the Republic of Ireland, 'the end point of all that evolution and fruit cake.' He attempts to recall his life for us, to set it straight.

Director: Annie Ryan
Music: Vincent Doherty
Lighting: Eamon Fox
